This place is one I have eaten at since it opened, whenever I have a jones for a cheap Chinese buffet. It is exactly what you would expect and is better than many in its price bracket. But it has been on a downward slope for the past year.
The standard and variety of the food has declined. Dishes run out and don't get replaced fast enough, or at all. The hot tea is left sitting until it tastes like kerosene. Too many of the fried appetizers and more interesting entrees are left to dry up in a sad little pile, as if to challenge diners to eat the unappetizing remnants before a new dish can be brought out. The sign requesting that you don't waste food seems kind of crass under those circumstances, although in a place trying to hold cost down, I suppose there are those types who empty the crab leg chafing dish, in case they might miss out, then only eat half.
The staff has always been a weakness at China Buffet. Eight times out of ten you'll get a rude, careless youth who seems to resent working there. They might get more tips if they didn't take their frustrations out on their customers.
The last time I ate there - in December 2009 - is the last time I will ever go. I didn't enjoy any of the dishes and was sick that night - obviously food poisoning. I'm not surprised.
Buffet joints have cycles, and I hope they lift their game again. Meanwhile I'll stick to driving the distance to Heaven Star instead. -

Who I can only assume are new owners of this location have recently posted a "No Pets, Or ANY other animals" sign, and used this sign as an excuse to rudely refuse to serve me and my entire family due to my well-behaved Service Dog... This was incredibly disappointing, especially when they were not concerned with the fact that doing this is highly illegal. On top of this, their quite frankly terrible quality food is NOT worth the discrimination. They have since been reported to the ADA and are now pending receiving an investigation... in addition to all of this, they only received a "FAIR" rating during their last health inspection. Ew. Because this is so disgusting and just as ridiculous and unbelievable as not allowing someone's wheelchair; After coming here for 10+ years, typically with many family members each time, none of us will be returning ever again.

Incredibly disgusting food. I personally did not feel good physically after eating here. Limited amount of food, as well as food that looked old and some food that was hard/crunchy when not suppose to be. Some items had plastic wrap melted into them overall, not the best experience.

I was scared because of the reviews on here. I was surprised that it wasn't bad at all. The food met the standards of a Chinese buffet the staff was friendly and nice. Overall a good lunch place. The wait staff picked up plates quickly and always made sure the sodas and water was full.

Exactly what I expect from a buffet and a great way to have my son try a little bit of everything to introduce him to Chinese food for a good price.
